Agree with most comments on here. Carrollton employees think they deserve a gold star for running the same machine for 40 years while adding 10% of labor to the routers every year so you can get in some extra Jerk around time...making the product more expensive, and yet you complain when Singapore comes in, does the job more efficient and reduces costs....get back on y’all’s wallboard and start cutting those chips faster. You want the work, then earn it...and stop with all the comments ‘we’re American so we deserve it. We had the work first back in the 1980s blah blah blah ‘Murcia’....

A lot of upvotes for your condescending comment. Could it be HCT does a lot of manufacturing in the EH because they move a lot of tools in the EH? If a company is simply after "cheap labor" Singapore is a ridiculous choice even if some workers coming over from Malaysia. Have you been to Singapore lately? You buffoons don’t even know that HCT is headquartered in Singapore not The US? The only reason it is there in the Lion facility is so the company can get a tax write off and use the cheap Malaysian labor to undercut the US facilities. HCT isn’t laying off anyone right now. HCT is the only PSL making any money. Anyone being laid off anywhere either works for a plant/PSL involved in fracking or reports to someone that is global or technology.
My manager is currently sourcing more products to Singapore as we speak. Sorry, but the majority of the layoffs will be in USA.
