Thread regarding Nordstrom layoffs

Toxic company beliefs

Personally I have never worked in a more toxic fake work culture in my entire life.... this means that this company will not last. Abort any stock, plans or purchases for long term with Nordstrom, the reward is only profiting the worst people in America think x 10 worse than kardashians ( at least kardashians have brains )

Any trained monkey can cut costs, alieniate employees, and or spend like a drunken sailor. A company in turmoil hires all of the above to sow chaos and dissent due to incompetence at the C level leadership. Not much of a coherent approach to the business. There are at times some good leadership going on in pockets of the company but that always gets turned around in order to make something that works break down because of some leadership whim. As they hire more and more incompetence from the outside those folks always start with a big spend to right the ship and then spend even more to cover the mistakes from the grandiose plans that was not well conceived and executed. It’s corporate America at it’s finest.

Aggressive typically means incompetent. What it means when a company brings in aggressive true industry professionals is they are there to feed on the carcass. It’s just a group of hyenas on the savanna. They move from k–l to k–l. None of their experience is more than a few years at any one company.

Oh no! Aggressive recruiting of true industry professionals? You don’t say! Now that’s going to stir up insecurities from internal Nordie comeups.

Seattle corporate office: where yt privilege and racial bias goes to thrive while motivation and ambition dies.

Teams run by incompetent leaders, unqualified workers with no related experience and no training initiatives. Expectation to do more for less while management dangles promotions that inevitably go to their favorite pets.

Would never recommend working here. Not even the desperate.

Nordstrom is recruiting aggressive corporate executives from outside the organization. The purpose is to achieve sales and profitability goals and then sell the company. Watch out. The culture is about to get more toxic that anyone imagined.

Good to hear from you. Could you please be more specific?

Are you complaining about certain levels of management? About Seattle corp center groups, store, marketing, buyers? Technology? Is it longtime oldsters, awful Millennials, trash people from Microsoft, etc?

Put some meat on this bone. Tell us more. You are with friends.
