Poor management and internal politics...teams are already short staffed as is with many employees working long hours meanwhile consultants sitting around at MS take 2 hour lunches and surf the web all day (e.g. my team). Morale is low.

@12r8ps1d - I see this consultant party everyday at my floor pantry area and any day I go to NYP cafeteria.
It's not easy to be a consultant, even though people think they have an easy pass, that's not true in reality. They are always the first ones to get cut and while they get paid more but if you calculate how much they sit and wait between projects and not being compensated it's hard to argue that being consultant is superior to being an employee
Many consultants were let go over last 4 weeks too. They were first to go. Also, this is not only targeting on VP/ED/MD, some analysts/asso got laid off not related to performance as well.
