Reliable inside information indicates that while a few terminations have already taken place, the major action is set to begin at the end of the next pay period 12/13/2019.
What a Merry Christmas to all......not!

1st rd to be completed by end of January... Computer access will go first - then a phone call
YOu may be right, they may not want the bad press in laying people off a week before christmas. They may wait until they are off on vacation and just call them that they are layed off and tell them they will mail you your stuff. Or just wait until the new year but I can't buy that because if they do then those people will be able to get the bonus.
Nothing happened in the countries where it was the 13th before USA. Looks like they really are going to be so sh– and waste people's valuable holiday pay only for them to come back and find out they are jobless. I wish I could say it's unbelievable but it's really not if you have worked at Cummins for a few years. How people remain so loyal to this place is beyond me... Try not waste your money on actual holidays this year people, you may need it sooner than you think.
Nothing going on in Columbus so far. Maybe 2020.
Quite as a tomb or crypt so far
Today is Dec 13th. Any updates?
publicly announced today that $2billion in share repurchases approved??
What a joke. If they have the cash flow for that why not jobs.
Cummins throws their values buzzwords around, but does not mean anything.
Feeling really bad for all the mid level managers who have to work through this.
Looks like our region is happening on 12/13 as well
We’ve heard from 2-5% per region......can anyone confirm?
I've heard that it would only be a few from southern Indiana, but I'm not buying it. They said that 2000 would be worldwide. The problem is that the other parts of the world aren't getting paid the higher salary that the US are. So look at CTC and southern Indiana getting alot of people being let go.
I'm hearing Friday the 13th is the day for Columbus & Southern Indiana locations. Also heard New York Senator Chuck Schumer placed a call to CEO Linebarger. Apparently he told Linebarger that he didn't want to see any layoffs at the Jamestown Plant.
Is that for a US location? I keep hearing January
I’d have figured the 20th since corporate will shutdown then for the holidays
