For years they have green lighted Piss poor plans and abandoned their responsibilities to hold leadership accountable for bad results and inept execution.

Well Ralphies severance pay of 5 million is part of the bankruptcy so hopefully he gets very little
While things were set in motion before Ralphie, they hired Ralphie knowing that he made bad decision after bad decision in his previous gig as CEO. They then let him make the exact same decisions at Dean Foods. So yeah, board holds much of the blame.
But they'll never be held accountable. Gotta be rich to be made a board member to begin and the rich never pay for their financial misdeeds unless they steal directly from those who are even richer. And most sit on multiple boards, so it's not like this is going to affect them much. Just the loss of one of their multiple paychecks. They'll pick up a seat on another board and keep making money for not doing much.
