I attended a meeting with a Claims Manager and a Vice President of Operations where they told a group of Section Managers, Team Managers, and other employees that too many of the employees have become "fat, lazy, and stupid" and are "slugs". The summary of the plan was to "get the slugs moving". It was tasteless and disrespectful. They have no respect for the working man/woman. They only enjoy a– kissers, hungry new employees, and the people who will claw their way to the top. Everyone else is just a "slug".

For those naysayers that don't believe what management is doing or saying in meetings behind employees backs is either clueless or a paid hack!
Maybe they should be doing their job!!
Get the slugs moving is code language for terminate them!! I know over 10 people who were terminated last month alone. And right before the holidays...that’s the ‘new’ Statefarm!!!
I believe it. I work in claims, so, I know first hand how workers are treated. Our entire day is scheduled which includes breaks and lunch. You can’t plan a lunch with anyone because your lunch time changes daily. A bathroom break is logged as an unplanned activity which counts against you. Claims people are extremely stressed and unhappy.
Claims is about metrics and not giving quality customer service. You can never be fast or quick enough!
Just hoping to hang on until retirement
I call BS - good try
Watch an executive briefing from a year or 2 ago.
This story is completely false and I don’t believe you are even an employee. They would never say stupid a@& words like that.
That goes right along with the Injury CM in C'ville telling her TMs they are too old and not engaged enough to work in hubs.
Sour grapes.
Really....that is because the good working people moved on!!
Don't forget nepotism. They enjoy that too.
