Is anyone safe? Will they have to apply?

What about Claims and DSD ? Is it going away ?
The Co managers will have first crack at the coach positions. ASMs will be able to apply, but based on the current Co-mgrs rating and leveling (much like they did last time) will determine who stays. Not all stores will retain a CoMgr.
This was told to me by my MM and MHRM when I interviewed for Coach.
Management keeps saying don't worry it's long time off for gwp and no one is losing their job. But yet the wire shows you can upskill urself to be ready for gwp.
"GWP info is on the Onewalmart.com site since last summer. We were told it's not set in stone. The switch hasn't gone as smoothly as originally envisioned."
They don't mention anything about how we transition to this great place and all of those who will be negatively affected. Don't get your hopes up. It's moving forward regardless of any hiccups. It's going to save corporate a lot of money even with some of the new roles paying more than current ones.

"What happens to A/B associates that have limited availability that does not meet need for the availability or serve teams?"
I was referring to the CAP teams with my mention of availability and serve teams. Those shifts are established and will remain. For instance CAP1 or Fresh CAP1 already are 4am-1pm. Or CAP2 being 2-11 and Fresh Cap2 being 1-10. CAP1 will be the availability team during those hours, Fresh CAP1 will be the Fresh availability team during those hours, and likewise for the evening shifts being the serve teams.
Like now, if you have limited availability, Walmart cuts hours are simply doesn't offer m any. There will still be part-time jobs and various shifts for different areas. The big change to A/B associates is that you absorb the tasks that used to be the department manager's jobs..section work, price changes, setting mods, setting features, and etc..
People are not "losing their jobs" per se. It's more of a promote, demote, or leave if you don't like it. Assistants apply for coach positions. If they are selected, they are promoted. If they are not selected, they likely have the options of demoting to another store back to an hourly associate or taking severance. It's a similar thing with hourly managers, though, I don't know if severance will be an option, and they don't necessarily have to go to another store, though, they may have to go to another department. Some will promote, some will demote, and some will quit.

Around how many people will loose their jobs in each store?
What positions are being cut?
If you have more than one co-manager, there will be only 1 co-manager called the Store Lead.
All ASMs except for APASM, ACCM, and e-Commerce ASM. The managers in those current roles are not necessarily safe to stay in those roles.
All hourly managers, supervisors, and supports. DMs, Cap/Fresh Cap Supervisors, GM Supports, ON Supports, and CMS are going away. CSMs will be slightly reduced at first, but then phased out eventually.
The new salary management position will be Coach, which is co-manager level. Depending on the store, you may have up to 6 of them: Overnight, Fresh, Food/Consumables, Apparel/Home, GM, and Front End.
The new hourly management position will be Team Lead. There will also be academy trainer positions. It'll depend on store volume, whether your store remains 24/7, and etc.
Pay grade A and B associates will be Team Associates. 4-1 is the availability team. 1-10 or 2-10 is the serve team (will be a bit different on GM side). Overnight may be called the "prepare team," if you still have a 3rd shift.
It's getting late in the game for people to still be unaware of the Great Workplace restructure.
With the new store lead positions, who will have to reapply?
What is going on with the assistants. Are they being cut also.
Those three positions are safe. Not necessarily the people in those positions.
Who has to apply? What positions are being cut?
Are these assistants being let go.
