Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Specialist layoff next?

At my store today all specialists were asked where they would like to see themselves in the next 6 months; step down or step up. Are specialists going to be eliminated soon or will specialists be shortened to just a few? There was a managers meeting today and all the managers had a look of fear in their eyes coming out of it. Does anyone know what's going on?

We were asked 3 questions today...how long you have been there and will you want to get higher position and who would you give your position to. So something is going on but what with specialist. Wierd but smell something!!!

Yesterday myself along with 4 other DM's and 1 ASM were let go.. company restructure. the remained DM's were given 3-4 Departments parmanently.. and some DM's are given the key to do opening and closing like ASM's. I should have seen it coming .. jeez!

Lowe's is going down, its so stupid. Deliveries is a joke, and how can pro services do anything that makes money when stock s—s, deliveries is not even available for the pro customer. No coverage in lumber or any other department. Credit department won't even approve anyone for over 20,000 . How can we grow business with all this bull sh–. Its falling apart, get out while you can.

Exactly. Textbook lowes loser management book! I'm so done once I get my last spiff payout. Plenty of jobs to be had if you're motivated. Get er done!

maybe those specialists who will be losing the allowance on February 1st will be pushed out. That will thin the hurd somewhat.
