The part about cutting labor costs will get interesting. Most plants are below skeleton crews. When the trustee declares layoffs will happen I would prefer to be told to take a hike. The folks left onboard will be forced to run multiple pieces of equipment while the worthless incompetent management sits in their office doing nothing. If I'm still around and they pull that garbage I may just quit on the spot.
Good article. Only thing I see that doesn't really apply to a lot of union employees is the section about Pension. It depends on which plan you are under, but using Central States as an example, Central States is not a Dean Foods run plan and therefore the court or Company doesn't have the power to modify the plan itself.
