Can somebody explain what's going on? I've seen people respond back to chapter 11 but now I'm seeing 8-k filings and I'm not too sure what that's supposed to mean I thought after chapter 11 you after that inter chapter 7 which is complete shutdown a bankruptcy maybe I'm confused I don't know a lot about this if anybody can respond back with some additional information I would greatly appreciated

Previous comment is correct. Full details. And like the person said. Good luck finding another company that offers the kind of benefits Deans used to offer.
Basically every company is making employees pay more for health care, dental, etc.
Those of you bragging about how you are going to stick it out due to pay, seniority, vacation, etc. Just know there is no PROMISE a new buyer will honor any of that. And if you live in an at will employment state. They can fire you for any reason without cause.
The 8k fillings are documents required by the SEC and Government. They are very lengthy documents. The one I read is over 75 pages and has every single detail regarding this ch11 bankruptcy. And even lists names and banks to who they owe money to.
Basically in my opinion. This will roll over to a Chapter 7 by next year. Each plant is for sale individually or as a division. Such as Land O Lakes.
A lot of you are stuck. I get it. But, I would start looking around for a better company otherwise you will never get a return on your 401k’s or payments for health benefit claims.
A lot of companies are going to HSA’s as well with high deductibles. So good luck!
well they are still hiring if that helps you.the company is not shutting down they are going to attempt to restructure and hope they can get someone to buy them out.depending on your situation you may want to seek other employment.
