I notice that the parking lot was half empty this year. Last year I couldn’t even find a spot to park. This year I can do cartwheels to the door of Macy’s. I think Black Friday it’s self is gonna disappear. I go into work only to find 3 sales people with myself 4 sales people and one helper. Understaffed! But Macy’s doesn’t care about your health. If you drop dead on the floor they will replace you with a Millennial for $9.00 a hour. I think the understaffed is to make you work to sheer death so the numbers look better.

Another visit from our DM this Friday in our store in Laredo, Tx. But this time the regional manager and his team are coming too. 😬
I had a better day on Wednesday, than working overnight 8pm Thanksgiving 6am Friday, Saturday was better than Friday .
The sales figures in our store were terrible. Our store in Laredo, Texas is a Path to Growth stores. In our city customers decided to shop somewhere else. Most of sales figures in our store depends on the tourism from Mexico. Our local shoppers and tourism decided to spend there money at the Outlet Shoppes of Laredo. The Outlet Mall was pack on Thanksgiving day and Black Friday. It is true, Macy's does not have what the customer wants, at the price they want. 🤔
First of all, it's there, not "their". I do not believe sales figures were missed due to call outs or "no shows". Figures were missed due to lack of tourism, late receipts, snow storms, anything else to add Jeff??? Pure and simple, Macy's does not have what the consumer wants, at the price they want. Sales are terrible!!!!
exactly!!! how many seasonal colleagues did not show up for their shifts. isn't turnover worse with phone hiring? L and D spend all this money on training with those new hire folders and they don't last or even come for their first shift. who knows the turnover rate for the company from sales colleagues up to management? does anybody in corporate recognize their is a problem?
I heard from my Manager that company wide the stores were down compared to last year......
@12gD9gjv, how many temps just failed to show up for work that day? We had a bunch of people on the schedule that didn’t come in to work. Several regulars too. We had a decent day on Friday, above plan. Could have been even better if people came to work I bet. Had some registers we couldn’t staff at all.

We just had a visit from our District Manager in our store in Laredo, Tx. Numbers weren't that good compare from last year Black Friday numbers. Thanksgiving day and Black Friday sales numbers were horrible. Everyone in our store notice it. It doesn't take a genius to figure things out. 🧐
My store did not make it yesterday or today. Very bad! I am thinking that maybe Macy's will only be in the business of Parades.
Our store wasnt busy either. The only two stores open were JCP and Macy's. When is management going to realize there is NO reason to be open. Today was busy though. Parking was HORRIBLE.
The worse Thursday ever in our store 703. The mall was close, the only stores open was Macy's, JCPenney, Bealls, Sears and Forever 21. Only the movie theater at the mall was pack. The parking lot area at the movie theater was pack. The only shopping area that was super pack was the Outlets Shop of Laredo. All the stores were open on Thanksgiving night. They had good deals on alot of items. I saw it on social media. The local media in Laredo, Texas were promoting the Outlets stores on T.V.
We had our best Thursday ever.
Very slow compared to previous years.
Thursday was a bust at our store too. The whole was closed except Macy's and JC Penney.
The same in our store No.703 too. It's not the same anymore. 😲 🙈
