Thread regarding A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts Inc. layoffs

ACMoore sold to Michaels

Let's discuss consequences. What do you think will happen? What are the impacts on the corporate (e.g., HR, IT, Marketing, etc.). How about stores? Are we going to be adding or closing stores? Any input is greatly appreciated.

According to the online post, only 40 stores will remain open. It's accurate. News broke this morning.

Is this factually accurate? I cannot find any reference to this purchase (Michaels buying AC Moore) anywhere online?

Plainville is getting a lot of Holyoke mass and Manchester's customers yet they choose to close it anyway. Corporate is a joke and they are making a huge mistake. People are not going to travel all the way to orange or new london.
