Does IBEW still invite political hacks to their meetings to try to brainwash the membership into voting for them?
Time to jump ship from ibew as well they are worthless.
Couple of these replies sound like manager jim has been drinking again.
Very few embicile managers know how to even do our jobs. They would get fired before the end of their shift.
It is true that is has been 120 days with no contract, but there is more to the story. The Union is pounding Frontier on new terms and our assault has been relentless. We are so close to a new agreement that it isn’t funny. We just need to make sure everyone keeps paying their Union dues. Keep IBEW strong!
You mean like when the union agreed to let Frontier hire new $14/hr workers into the same building? (Which undercuts the rest of its workers)
You are just as likely to have bad union reps/stewards as bad fromt line company mangers. Either one is only as good as the leaders above them. The company has made terrible business, service, & financial decisons. But dont pretend the Union hasnt contributed to these issues.
while your are at it also resign to your benefits.

LOL everything Union is just pitiful. I went from a CWA to an IBEW [state to state] and it was even worse than staying with CWA. I got layed off twice but was told if I maybe went to the union meetings maybe I could have defended myself. Where did my $35 month dues go then? Since I had less than 10 years seniority they didn't want to hear it. It's just not worth it either way both CWA or IBEW.
Oh management is even worse! They sit around waiting to see what's for lunch. They're overpaid also. This whole freaking company is overpaid, however sit on that phone and take the BS we have to put up with and all of our sales being routed to the o es who are taking your job next!
I belong to the IBEW in another state and yes they do defend the lazy/dishonest people that should actually be fired (a long time ago). These people just sit back and reap the rewards of the ones that actually do the work. I personally do not speak or help these people out even though they are my so called union brother/sister.
When I worked there half of the Florida workers were FMLA abusers. If a member of management upset them in any way or if they were having a bad day they would abuse their FMLA and just go home. And the union protected them when the attendance monster called. I bet nothing has changed.
I used to work for Verizon as an outside tech and worked with Senior lazy employees that felt entitled. IBEW never did anything except protecting these useless employees.
I could never leave IBEW. My department sits around all day looking for jobs on our laptops. I take maybe 5 calls a day on average right now from our customers. My dues are a small price to pay to sit around and find my next career on the companies dime!!
Does anyone know what the next window to resign from the union is for FL? Im sick of paying dues that are being wasted
