Just wondering if anyone has taken a permanent transfer offer and if so how they justified signing away their seniority and starting over?

How about the entire system just mark off for one whole day and watch the mother f—er burn? Mass mark off everyone! Those suits won't know what to do. They're so eager to lay everyone off to save every little f—ing penny they can, we can help them save even more by taking a day off! All of us. Let's make it happen. Lol
ill eat up all the unenjoyment money I can and get a job under the table

I'm with you
Not me. Im riding the gravy train with biscuit wheels till the wheels fall off. The work/money ratio here is way too easy for me to voluntarily leave. I will wait for the ax man and then worry about finding a job while Im sitting around on unemployment.
Guess I'm crazy!
For your own health and well being you should transfer to another company period. I don’t care if you’re at the top of your roster with 25 years or at the bottom with 5 years. If you’re not looking for another job, you’re crazy
Look who runs the show now! Nuff said I suppose.
I hear a several from Chatt took a transfer to Bham only to get laid off there.
I took a permanent transfer in 2010 but it was because I was at the bottom of the seniority and it was where I wanted to move there. It just depends on your situation
You don't have to sign your rights away until you are called back.
People are just buying time. Hopefully buys another year of time to find a different job and leave the railroad all together. This place is such a sh– hole anymore
Worked with a guy at scx the took one to linwood. He was close to the bottom of the list, not sure what else played I to it. Smart move on his part, he's still working for now.
