Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Carrollton reduction coming soon

Heard that Carrollton is gonna have a headcount reduction soon. Possibly in February. So much for that upbeat meeting about the order book last week.

Well we got a steak for lunch today. Of course that will be instead of a raise. And then next week will come the head chopping.

I work in Carrollton, TX also and heard the exact same thing. The managers blew their load in Decemeber with the record setting month and now if more business doesn't come, layoffs are scheduled. It's not set in stone but a backup plan. If layoffs do happen, we could do without the excess managers and supervisors. Most of them serve no purpose or function.

Why wouldn't management have a upbeat meeting. It's called keep the slaves calm otherwise you will get a mutiny.
