Enrollment Numbers? Ghost Campuses?

Yes, the enrollment numbers and campus numbers from the Department of Education are stale.

Reports of campus closings trickle out each month, but the media don't care because UoPX students these days are typically not readers.

If it were some little private school in New England it would be reported in several places, including large newspapers in the region.

The only way to get the student enrollment numbers and information about the ghost campuses would be if someone leaked them. But most of the people with knowledge of the numbers are mercenaries or terrified of management. Is there even one person left at UoPX with a conscience?

"96K students? I doubt it. Enrollment if any is glacial. Campus closures move forward. Advertising is sparse compared to recent years. My guess is its in the 70k range. There are now 5 students remaining at my close-out campus. I would be happy to know what the real numbers are. "

Try 67K! This is the number floated by informed campus leaders I know. It is definitely not 96K. The prediction a few years ago was bottoming out at 70-75K. The bottom is now collapsing.

It’s amazing how uniformed you are give how much information is shared with everyone regularly. Your “sources” must not pay attention to anything.

Plus the way you describe those of us working there is highly offensive, but then it’s driven by ignorance and ideological hate, so no surprise.

The new Google ads indicate that Apollo Global still has some serious money to give to University of Phoenix. But the money isn't going to workers who just hope to hang on. At some point, others to speak out. Not just enrollment, but faculty, marketing people from outside the company, accountants, and others with information. The public deserves to know what's going on in a company that survives only by taking in Title IV money, GI Bill money, DOD Tuition Assistance, and various state funds. In the long run, the best thing would be for UoPX workers to organize a union and try to clean up the company. It is possible, no matter how fearful workers are.
