Ask the machinist local chairman but good luck getting any information from that guy. Mo is the one that shares all the information the other guy withholds information.
The injuries should have been shared in the daily lineup (unless they don’t do that anymore at every location) because preventing injuries is the #1 priority at this company. But I’m sure someone must have information on them somewhere.
At the end of the day it’s cheaper to contract the rebuilds out. Other Class 1’s have been doing it for quite some time.
Any info on the injuries?
They’re not going to be satisfied with just 25, they’ve got a magic number of 55 to reach and stockholders to placate. Sadly until they change the way they do business jenks is the biggest facility on the chopping block even if it makes no sense to cut its staff to nothing. Just look at how they shut down the shop to review how everyone is doing their jobs since they’ve had major injuries that’s money and time lost and someone has to answer for it.

If they figure the land will fetch a good price on the real estate market even if it’s in the slums of North Little Rock then they’ll close the shop clearance sale/auction off the stuff inside, sell the land and eat the long term effects because hey that’s what this company needs more money less employees. The injuries are hopefully done but with all the pressure to increase production and efficiency something has to give and it’s not going to be the company.
Anyword on what crafts and numbers
Jenks will not be needed, look for a total shut down by spring.
Too many machinist getting injured. Look out Shaw your ramp is about to get new enployees and with that injuries go up.. oats has come to replace you lmao
They must have caught some employees not running in place while between jobs!
