Looks like internal announcements were made today. Is your store getting the axe?

I’m pretty sure that the stores that’s they are holding back the closings for a bit will still be closing. I think that the CEO realized how big the problem of bbbs poor inventory management actually is.... So instead of going straight to salvaging the millions of units of old stagnant inventory.. they will use those store that they are closing to filter that inventory to first thus making some much needed extra money in the process. They going to be liquidating those stores anyway so why not use those stores to liquidate for surrounding stores as well. It also gives the appearance that they’re trying to save people’s jobs blah blah blah but we know what’s going on....
I’m not sure they will close many this year besides for the 20 they delayed. I think the new CEO doesn’t believe in closing many stores. Of course truly dead stores, yes. But it’s corporates responsibility to bring in the foot traffic in, and to buy product people want to bring into their homes at a good price. The new CEO was very quick to admit we have been causing self harm to ourselfs and that we create friction with the customer experience in areas like Reserve online pick up in store. This spring they are making it a Buy online format so no more having to explain why they need that coupon in store or why Their order didn’t go through because they didn’t enter a credit card. He stated he wanted an Omni Always experience, connecting the stores and online seamlessly.
If they fix the customer issues now, they can save themselves.
And these stores are....? I find it hard they would be making more now as they just said on the conference call they were postponing 20 to next fiscal year (June) to sell off old Merch from the warehouse.
