Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

How will the last allowance week work?

Save a last minute change, we know the allowance is being eliminated. This ends effective February 1st but what happens to the last week? The pay check on January 31st is for the period ending 1/24. So will they pay the one week allowance ( week ending 1/31) in the first check of February or will they pay three weeks worth on January 31

More promises backed out on. Lowe's - the most unethical business in existence. Complete moral decay.

Wow, no way would I take a 10k a year pay cut. Job market is too good to put up with that and I quit over my $80 a paycheck spiff being ended. Within a year I could be making 30k to 50k a year just in commission, probably 70k in 2 or 3 years. Should have quit years ago.

Whatever they do you can be assured that there won’t do right for the associates.

The company would rather settle a class action lawsuit than pay the allowance. Horrible to the employees. Some specialists are losing a good chunk of their paycheck

Advise: never wait for this company to do the right thing by its employees.

Who the hell knows. I would speculate that if you have billable hours for that week then you will receive one weeks worth of allowance pay. Guess we will find out in a few weeks. All I know is my pay check is about to be about 22% lighter. Using all my restraint to not quit till we find out what the company's next move will be or if anyone initiates a class action lawsuit.
