The new GIG sez we all get free pizza. I am so glad to see this has finally come.
My stores have had TMAG and then TIME. It consists of mostly ambitious type new hires who are willing to volunteer. It's basically the party planning committee for store parties and any other perks. While I was a member back in the day I set up free tickets from the local major concert venue and adopt a highway. Someone else started a river cleanup. It isn't really a business critical thing but it's a nice thing to do. I imagine that it isn't taken seriously and the potential is squandered in most stores.
So true about stl discretion. Whats the point of the gig? They protect who they like and get rid if who they dont like.
My store uses it to fire people.
The GIG book at my store is used only only for unpleasant circumstances.

Do any stores actually do this? I've never heard of it in any store in our region.
Some quick things I noticed is that PBS and GVP are no longer listed. Was on page 7 of previous. PT20 is gone which was on page 36 of old gig.
Actually no reason to read it the gig always said the words “At the STL discretion” meaning they can make decisions contradicting the gig.
