Some PGL's when looking at people that want to transfer to their department check their attendance records before their job experience, that's why some abusers won't get promoted, the way I see it sick time abusers are stealing form the company.

There should be unlimited sick days/PTO so the company can see who they can work without and layoff those people. Give them unlimited days off and employees will take even fewer days than they do now.

Easy solution - you say your sick must take mandatory 48 or 72 hrs away from yard and bring doctor note to get back on money.

Seems the same people year after year keep milking the sick time, also b–ch about overtime, careless about the other people taking up their slack, there was a time when you was held accountable for you abusing sick time, this c-ap of people taking PLOA cuz they stressed out, maybe the new vacation policy will push back hopefully.

We have one that does that too. Our Jacka$$ uses “half sick days” all the time. Funny, Didn’t realize you could be sick for a half day (only In the mornings). He also uses multiple sick days through out the year and comes in the next day looking as fresh as spring flowers. We kept track and last year alone he used 15 sick days and about 20 half sick days. Also, we looked it up in the system and he didn’t even report them. So this guy stole a month of pay from the company beyond his 5 weeks vacation.

What about the POS that takes a week of vacation, Then gets “sick” the day they are supposed to come back and extends their vacation a couple extra days. We have a scumbag that does that regularly. In fact I think he took about 28 “sick” days last year.

Should but they let it go on, DMC people been abusing sick time for years, doesn't matter people with good attendance get laidoff over the abusers, some more of stupid management.
