Thread regarding US Steel layoffs

Worried

US Steel expects these old pipe mills to run with worn out parts and employees to produce a quality product. The writing is on the wall, neglect and cuts have sealed their fate. You can't expect drilling companies to trust getting a reliable product if equipment being used is unreliable.

U S Steel has bought into a brand new "non-union" steel mill in Arkansas. They seem more aligned to cut wages and retire their old union facilities. Only a blind person couldn't see that! https://www.arkansasonline.com/news/2019/oct/01/big-river-steel-get-700k-us-steel-agreement-two-co/

Improvements are on-going, if oil prices and drilling stay as they are, expect big results in 2020. Oil is cyclical as always and politics affects us all.
