I’m an ex Dean employee; worked in corporate for over 10 years and made a lot of great friendships there. My sincerest thoughts and prayers go out to everyone at the company. The prior leadership completely ruined what was a great company. For what it’s worth, there were many of us at corporate who knew that the hard working members in the field really knew how to run this business, and we wished your voices We’re taken more seriously. All that said, hoping that this Ch11 thing works out for everyone favorably... I just wish there was a way for Ralph to be held accountable for what he did!

Isn't that the capitalist American dream? Roll up dairies for stock price gains which benefit the few "leaders" and the stockholders. Meanwhile, the workers in the plant are squeezed with less R&M, no OT and told to be more productive!
It’s not just at the Corporate level, if you saw how these a– clowns in Rensselear New York run this Dairy, you would shake your head and ask yourself how the hell did these managers, supervisors and dispatchers get hired in the first place. These a–holes make one bad decision after another. They have no business knowledge whatsoever. Rensselear use to be the money maker of all money makers under a real manager named Arnie. That guy knew how to run a business. Now we have j–koffs running us into the ground. I feel sorry for these employees who have 20-30 years here, all for nothing. If the leadership at the top let’s these fools run the place, it’s no wonder corporate is in trouble.

If you have only worked for corporate 10 years, you don't know squat about what went on with this company.
It wasn't just Ralph, he was just the pimple on an elephants rear end. Ralph was a pathetic scavenger that comes along to feat on the corpse of what is left of company's and be the all too willing fall guy for some gold pieces they may have been left in the rush to exit stage left by his criminal predecessors. All he had to do was sit around and blather meaningless corporate speak every 90 days to get a handsome salary.
Suiza foods ( Engles, Tanner ) was the cancer that spread thru the company. Prior to that, even though there were buyouts, such as Southern Foods, they at least were serious about running a dairy business. When Suiza ( Reddy Ice ) came along in the early 2000's it was immediately apparent that it was nothing more than a takeover scam to fleece the industry for the personal gain of a select few. I still remember Engles "winning" greatest destroyer of wealth from Dallas Magazine two or three years in a row and "recognized" as the worst CEO in the USA.
But, he still had the gall to strip millions more for himself as a parting gift while at the helm. Then, when he quit, he also gifted himself White Wave and placed himself as CEO there. The only thing he had not run into the ground yet. That guy should be rotting in jail along with his buddy Tanner. They are nothing more than common thieves.
This is a question for any corporate people reading this. Is the DFA buy out rumor true? And what regions of our company are safe?
