My first post here. The company is good, the workers are good, the customers are happy and we are generally nicer to our vendors if compared to the competitors.

We have horrible leadership, they need to go. I would not wish bad things to happen to the workers or the company.

Shame on you for defending this heartless company!!! They will demote or throw anyone to the curb that they can if it saves even a dollar. Good luck to you in the upcoming "culture review" bs. Hilarious. The old bbb culture is so far gone and never coming back. Again shame on you for defending this.

Why would you wish a company that employs 65,000 people and ruin that many lives? It’s not the company that the problem. It’s the people that were running it. Let’s make that clear. Bbb is a good concept and can survive with the right leadership. I’m sorry you had some c-appy things happen to you, but it’s not the company- it’s a person. And who knows about the RVPs. It does seem like it may be restructured again to be just RMs and DMs as in many companies.

I hate when spiteful people get on here wishing for us to close. This job is my livelihood. There aren’t many places in town, let alone hiring. I value my job, what I get from it, the associates I manage, and those who manage me. I don’t have a horrible situation. I get some of you have, as I have In the past. I know that they are putting a lot of people on Pips this January that are not headed the direction that the company is going in. They aren’t just refreshing the top leadership, they have extensive plans to restructure every layer of the company. They are currently evaluating every position and what it contributes versus what it costs, and the value added to the culture. Store management will be under a culture review this spring that determines can they help lead the stores to the next level, and they will be given remedial courses if they have potential. They have decided to keep some stores to see how they play out that may not be profitable at the moment. There is so much going on in this company. We were given a great chance this holiday season to show appreciation to our associates and so many stores did not run with the opportunity they gave us. Those who didn’t will see their way out. This new CEO that came from target has a great rep. Their stores are great places to work and have a great culture. Through the years I have heard great progress made since they were once in our shoes. Change is possible. The company will survive, so don’t wish ill on it. There are way too many people relying on it to survive. My partner and kids rely on me, I rely on this job.

I hope bbb goes into a free fall and closes in 2020. Upper management has zero integrity. When you dont look after your employees you are left with subpar help that drives away business. Screw this sinking ship.

It doesn’t shock me. They are letting a lot of people go. But they have to file 8K forms for that sort of thing so I’m sure if it’s true they will come out soon. They get a good bump in stocks when they release info like that given our old track record.
