Hiland foods out of Omaha wants a piece of the pie. Deans reply: $18.25 million per plant is word from insider. They are only interested in North Central plants due to logistics/transportation.

Do you work for Hiland? Sounds like more moo gossip!!
It only converts to chapter 7 if there's no plan for asset sales that exceed distressed value.
A lot will probably be sold prior to a 7. However, won't the DOJ need to weigh in?
Where did you hear news that Hiland is in talks to buy some Dean plants?
Wrote it before, but why would any interested buyer not wait until this converts to Chapter 7 and things get sold in a fire sale?
My insider has connections to corporate in Dallas. Hiland Dairy is ready to pounce. But, rather prefer a chapter 7 so they can buy the whole division for cheaper than $18.25 million per plant is the current asking price.
Can anyone confirm this?
So it's a no go ?????
I could believe it. Especially since they already won a bid over Dean Foods Le Mars in the past to serve Le Mars schools with milk and dairy products. Although the Deans plant was 2 blocks away. That really shows you how incompetent Deans has become is to lose a bid to a company 2 hours away.
