Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Non IT lay-off Thread- the blood bath is coming

PBNA to get hit the hardest. Better faster stronger = remaining redundant roles purged.

If you're not a top performer get ready.

performance doesn't count at all but how good you are connected with the selection management

It wont matter this is a toxic sludge. Dole out those packages. Ready and packed.

I was always passed for promo despite super at. Instead favoritism was the order always.

No tears will be shed but relief

I too have the feeling that PBNA will see some heads cut by year end as word is out that you must add critical detail to your pdr due to the year had by pbna. easiest way to cut costs is to cut heads

I've seen many top performers let go at many of my previous employments. In fact, those are usually the first to get cut. I worked on the senior management team at one of those companies, and seen the layoff process from beginning to end. They don't look at your employment file, or performance review. All they look at is a spreadsheet with everyone's employee number, job title, and salary. With special attention to salary. Guess who's always at the top of the layoff list.

I was considered a top performer but let go anyways. It doesn't matter. I think as more roles are centralized to Plano there is going to be a flurry of layoff activity next year

Decisions made at the top? Do we work for the same company ???? Selection for termination is a very intellectual process. Your Director is told to cough up a % of their budget for cost reduction. He/she passes up a list of names. It’s as simple as that.

What is the timing of PBNA cuts ? This year? Top performers get cut all the time as cuts are based on position at decisions made at the top where they do not know individuals

High Performer = Protected staff that must be retained because their boss has no idea what they are doing. When senior management out number the people actually doing the work, there is a problem.

So far this has not been an exercise in restructuring. It has been an effort to remove long term employees as a means of cost reduction. Termination is your reward for your years of service.

That’s how a great company operates.
