What is progress on AKM’s CHK museum he was planning for his original office building on campus? I found my piece of brick from one of the original buildings which HR engraved. Would like to contribute to museum.

WE paid? I didn't pay sh– for the Christmas lights and personally enjoyed them. They'd definitely be a welcome sight this holiday season given all the gloom around the office.
Sorry but, hundreds of thousands of dollars each year? Oh my god! Who cares LOL. How much money has the company wasted chasing pipe dream plays the last 5 years? Could probably fund geologic time frames worth of Christmas lights.
And boy, can't wait to sell the Haynesville both under duress and into a low commodity price environment. I'm sure we'll get fair value. Great work leadership. Pat yourselves on the back about eliminating those Christmas light costs again.
Well, I know one year we had extra pink lights strung and they stayed up through Valentine's day for the sole purpose of AKM being able to walk his wife down Western surrounded in pink lit trees. But I'm sure there are even better reasons!
Anyone care to guess as to why the lights were up until April?
So nice of him to do all that. Were there any tax benefits? I’m sure if you tell the shareholders “the billions he spent on himself and friends and building his ego was not in vain; Horace Mann had mentors” they will understand and completely agree with you.
Again, do you people not understand that the stock price was that high because he was running a successful Ponzi scheme? Until he got caught that is and when people realized the real mess he had created and that there was zero value in anything he was doing in oil and gas related it tanked. The only value was in the land he had purchased (and we know what the Federal Government thought about those transactions).
It’s like hiring a cleaner to clean up a “little mess” and when the cleaner arrives you reveal “actually it’s Fyre festival we want you to clean”. And if you can’t do it, we don’t care who made the mess, it’s your fault because you didn’t clean it.
I understand it’s hard for a lot of you to face the facts; you were most likely paid a wage far higher than what you will ever get and remember the fond memories of c—tail Thursday on the lawn. Give me $10bn (he wasted a lot more than that) of someone else’s money and I guarantee I could make a fun work environment where results don’t really matter because we have an extremely elaborate facade in play.
What about United Way? Project Help? Free time to mentor at risk students?
Stock was $20 a share when Aubrey left. Then the big investors stacked the board and in doing so lost all their money. Serves them right.
Sorry but Lawler is as inspiring as soggy white rice. Instead of b–ching about printing slides on two sides of the paper, removing bottled water, and raising lunch prices by a $1, he should have focused on the billions of dollars spent in the business.
AKMs CHK Museum!! Over here we have our propaganda display, here is where I show why I paid myself over $100m in one year even though the company wasn’t making a penny, if you look closely you will see why I also paid executive VPs more than a lot of CEO’s. The section to the right displays the gifts and packages I would give to the Board to sign of on my “business” activities. Ahh my favorite section we call it “Fuel .2” this interactive display shows the miles and fuel myself, family & friends burned through using company funds to fly on jets around the world to exotic locations that had nothing to do with company interests. I chose this building as the museum to show how humble I am, pass me the bottle of that $100,000 wine that was paid for by the shareholders. Before you leave don’t forget to visit the gift shop where products I personally own will be sold for my benefit only and please note I am the reason we have a Whole Foods, the locals love that I did that. And be sure to visit at Christmas where my highly paid Propaganda VP will force the employees to serenade me on the lawn of my mansion. I, because I am so humble, will let them have a glass of wine, they love that too. Please look out for the Christmas lights around the campus. It has cost the company over a million dollars in the past but the locals love me. I, being the humble man I am, also keep them up until April, turned on, every single night, costing the shareholder thousands, do any of you know why I did this? Humble. Before you leave OKC go attend a Thunder game, we have a ridiculous sponsorship deal with them that benefits the team owners. It’s a crazy amount of money and would almost certainly cripple most organizations, but the locals believe I am the reason we have a team, humble. Oh did I not mention I am also an owner. Ice Cream? I’ll have a double dip.
Maybe you misunderstood what the piece of brick represented. The brick in clear plastic represents the destruction and rubble of a fallen empire. When the museum is razed, and those pieces are then encased in plastic, you'll have a collectible set, great for office Dirty Santa, stocking stuffers, or maybe go for the win on EBay.
