Batteries plant shutting at SHTC and moving to China

Christ on a bike, are you thick? It had been written many times. END OF RUDDY AUGUST! Are you a Cheerleader?
Mentioned before - shutdown completed by end August.
From what I understand only 11 assemblers are left in building B - both making cells and packs. That is not enough to justify keeping this facility open, those 11 assemblers will require support staff and a management structure - as well as others such as HR and QHSE. 11 left actually making the product does not seem enough for a building designed to hold 10 times that amount of staff. Surly it's last days must be approaching now.
How people left there now who actually make batteries, please don't include the overbearing and bullying managers or so called supervisors in this group.
What is the timescale for the complete closure of building B ?
True fact.
I am hearing a rumour that it is in fact closing in August anyone confirm this ?
China China China that's where a lot of slb jobs are going just ask rakin in tec good luck and go get different job if you are going to cry about where you are at...
Very poor management, bullying, low morale and no regard for individual effort in trying to do a good job at this location, not really surprising the quality of the batteries produced are poor and unreliable.
Major change in SLB work ethic and people management are required to turn this situation around but it's been so deeply entrenched and long established within this company historically any change may be too late now .
There were two managers there who ran the batteries as their own company (I believe they have gone, thankfully) with two supervisors who were their many-faced lapdogs. They all turned a blind eye to institutionalised bullying, which I am told is still occurring. The place is a train crash but in spite of all Schlumbergers' initiatives, is still producing low quality work. Wake up management!
Never trust anything an SLB manager tells you, their own self interest and survival ALWAYS come first.
It won't be closing anytime soon with me in charge, let me tell you
Before individuals post unnecessary rumours on this site, maybe they should have factual information first.
If this is scaremongering, then maybe you should firstly think about the people employed at SHTC battery plant and how these rumours may affect them.
Unless you know 100%, then may I suggest you keep your comments/opinions to yourself !!!!!!!!!!
Scaremongering about closure, oh dear someone has thrown all their toys out their pram.
If the rumour started is true I feel sorry for everyone.
Well well well......
Someone’s not very happy about the changes in the stonehouse battery plant
Mmm....... Strange that this was posted the same day that managerial changes were announced in building B. Maybe someones got an axe to grind. Maybe you've been pushed to one side. Maybe you've been overlooked for promotion.....again. Rumour is more changes to come. Either way bring it on.
Very poor management and low morale at this location, it's been the same for many years now, not surprising the decision has been made to move it to China.
They more than likely don't want to keep their employees informed due to them telling a certain frac crew that it'd be their last job and then layoff. Magically, about 20lbs of sand/dirt made it into the fuel systems on all of the primary equipment. Only reason I even knew about it is due to me spending 2 weeks rebuilding and cleaning all the fuel systems out. Guess they didn't want the incident posted on the hub.
About time. Many in the field regard this place as a joke producing unreliable cells and the worst run part of SLB.
Is this true ? anyone know what is really happening why one earth does't SLB keep the workers informed until the last possible moment?
