All positions to be eliminated and line moved to Mason. Not sure where it will be shoehorned in as we are already out of floor space.

All that technical skill and experience....And they just washed it all away. Shameful.
If you're wondering why no WARN notice then read the rules:
Requirements of the WARN Act
Additionally, the WARN Act requires employers to give notice of any mass layoff, that does not result from a plant closing but will result in an employment loss of 500 or more employees during any 30-day period. The Act also covers employment loss for 50-499 employees if they make up at least 33 percent of the employer's active workforce.
Kicked to the curb, I am truly sorry. Never a good time but between the Holidays the worst, and you are so right about the WARN act and the lawyers! I hope the compensated you fairly.
Their corporate scum lawyers know the law. They can lay off 49 people and not give any warning. 50 is the minimum to require warning. I left late and counted over 40 badges laying on the windowsill when I turned mine in.
The L3Harris corporate scumbags really know how to maximally screw their employees that the endlessly tell hpw much they value them.
If anyone knows that the number was 50 or greater, please inform.
There was no 60 days written notice that is required by the state of Pennsylvania’s WARN act. Time to go after them.
you're*
REALLY?!! Get a life and go away!! Your missing the point.
The grammar police are on site.
The" or not" is the true question for layoffs in 2020 under L3Harris. I believe there will be a policy change. I think your safe under your legacy policy but fair game for change Jan 2020. At least reading the questions to customer and the response giving to how the merger will save the customer money. It was stated layoffs ,reduced head counts, and severance. That's a big hit if true.
Warn notices will be posted here: https://www.dli.pa.gov/Individuals/Workforce-Development/warn/notices/Pages/default.aspx
Is there some kind of plant closing or WARN notice required in that state? Besides there are corporate policies about severance pay... one week per year of service?
Or not...?
Are they at least getting a severance package of some kind? And one of the open letters they talked about cutting Severance has to save money
Soon to be ex- Brashear employer I don't really believe any of us will relocate to Mason just a faint effort on corporate part.
29 total laid off Tuesday
How does an over 100 year company close in Pittsburgh so soon post the Harris merger? A dozen or so employees were layed off Monday 11/18/2019. End dates were given to the rest of the employees. End Dates were by month, meaning layoffs will continue every month from now until 8/31/2020. Mason Ohio is where current work at Brashear will be moved. Managers, engineers and technicians were supposedly asked to relocate. Sad next few months for Brashear.
