Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Extra Three Bucks

Menards in my area pays $3/hr extra for working weekends, and has increased their weeks with 11% rebate. Seems to have them at least 50% of the time now.

Definitely taking business from us and also after recent CCS insanity employees are interviewing there.

Our store can’t get much leaner, last few hours open only 1 or 2 employees to help all customers. Not enough cashiers and ASM is running all over the place.

Because by default threads are sorted by date created, not date of last eply. As a result discussion is stiffled.

Their employee discount can only be used by taking the discounted amount off your paycheck. If you don't have much savings or many hours there's no much you can buy with it. It's a system designed to make sure you use it as little as possible.

Not true! I worked for Lowe’s and then went to Menards, they were happy to have me

Who cares!!! Get out of retail in general, don’t just skip around. Same c-ap, different smell. The entire retail industry is “doing more with less” which equates to understaffed stores and overworked employees.

Not true about not hiring Lowe’s employees, I know some who recently was hired by Menards. AND whats the deal with people taking someone’s response to a post and copying it verbatim to create a new post now based on their response?? If you want a specific issue covered, create your own with less plagerism-geez.

They won’t hire former or current Lowe’s employees.
