Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

The sad truth

The sad truth is that the people making the decisions don’t even know what is involved in the positions they are impacting. Because they see the jobs as low level (more than one level below c-suite), employees to fill the position are interchangeable. As long as you have a warm body it will get done. There have been enough experienced Xerox’s to plug the gaps but the more of those people who are laid off, outsourced & offshored the more the gaps will start to impact the business. Of course, the current administration knows they are goi g too far but they are hoping that they can sell before the house of cards comes crashing down.

The truth of the matter is that there are a ton of people who know Xerox legacy products and services outside of Xerox at the likes of IBM, HP, and DXC, and as long as those people exist, whatever happens at Xerox doesn't really matter. It's not like the majority of those clients intend to buy new Xerox stuff going forward except to maintain existing workflows.
