telling someone you work for UP is like saying you work at radio shack. people are puzzled you still have a job.

I hope someone is keeping track of how many people are actually let go. Who wants to bet the number they announced isn't close to how many were actually let go?
I used to say I worked for UP and people responded positively. Now when they ask what company I worked at before, and I tell them UP, they don’t even respond. It’s almost like UP isn’t around anymore. Maybe they don’t know how to express sympathy.....
In time it's going to be a rerun of what the CP did. Quite a few employees laid off from the CP went back after the CP started pulling back from the PSR move. If you disagree, then you should look at their stocks and stock history. They're doing WAY better than the UP now. I personally like when a news outlet posts about UP layoffs. The UP exec's can't cover everything up.
They should sc-ap it and sell for pennies on the dollar like they did with all of our tools and equipment.
