One has to wonder what will happen if this turns out to be the beginning of a bigger wave of layoffs. Obviously it’s going to be tough on the people that will get cut, but my curiosity goes in the direction of knowing how do they plan to operate the company with a lesser headcount. I mean we’re overworked and stretched out to the limits of our capability as it is, working 60+ hours a week and barely being able to reach our goals and deadlines. How is the company going to function when even more work dropped on to the remaining employees. Are they going to outsource, hire new ands cheaper employees? Thoughts?

Exactly, we haven’t backfilled positions in 5 years, in my dept.
