Anybody heard of potential lockout by the U Ain't Workers on Friday at the tech centre? Rumor of Ford and Chrysler workers picketing so no one can enter....

No big deal. I entered the Tech Center at 545 this morning at gate 1 on 12 Mile. No wait at all — I have the green light an didn’t even need to slow down.
At 800 I only observed about 30-40 protesters at gate 9 on Van Dyke
This is why salaried folks at tech center will never support UAW. I heard a lot of people in the tech center would however support laying off UAW to increase productivity. Other competitors like Toyota, VW or Hyundai have no UAW and their cars are well built.
Thanks! I get to work from home on Friday. Most people who can, are. So light volume. Also, Warren PD will not put up with blocking intersections. One ticket will eat up that $250 paycheck
Of course. Because people that work at the Tech Center have a say in negotiations.

Yeah hears the same. My productivity will probably go up a lot now I'm working from home
UAW is a joke. They don't even respect their own picket lines:

Solidarity with your fellow brothers and sisters is only important when it suits you, huh?
Very selfish of UAW if they go thorugh with locking down Warren campus tomorrow. Please be better ladies and gents, engineers and IT have nothing to do with these negotiations. We are the little guy too.
This may have a small impact but, I will just take my laptop and work from either another location or from home. This type of action probably would have worked better 20 years ago, before laptops or the capability of working from anywhere was available.
