You can choose a Cobra plan for up to 18 months after being furloughed. Premiums are approximately $600/mo. Or you can split up your family and apply for medicaid for your kids & taxpayers can thank the narcissist railroad execs for costing everyone while they fill their pockets with greed.

Stress leave is the new 2 weeks notice at UP. It’s the best way to leave

Only way is if they cut and your below the seniority line that was cut. You can't do anything about that.

Example was a employee on Military leave, tried to come back to find out bottom 6 guys were cut...and he was one.

OP: because you work for UP and they hate their employees, that's how.

I'm sorry that this happened to you and I wish you the best of luck. Try to find an employer that will treat you with some dignity.

Does an employee lose their health insurance immediately when they come off medical leave if they don’t have enough seniority to keep a job in his or her craft ?

Are u union or management? If ur low enough on seniority roster as a union employee it doesn’t have anything to do with you being on medical leave. When u come off medical leave u don’t gain seniority and the ability to bump others. If ur nonagreement and on paid disability leave and you’ve got fmla they can’t fire u. If they do talk to a lawyer.
