New CEO poached from Target!

New CEO announced from Target. Mark Tritton was the former Chief Merchandising VO at Target which helped turn around target a few years back, and since has helped see 8 quarters straight of upward comping sales and margin from adding many new private label brands.

As of 11/04 rest assured the new CEO will continue the plan to eliminate 1,200 jobs with the closure of 60 non-profitable locations. Additionally ASM’s in A volume and below locations will be given their pink slips. What a great start! Another 1,800 people without jobs prior to March of 2020.

I really want to say this looks great and hopefully things are going to turn around; however, as long as the activist capital investors are in control, the money made is going to the top and not the middle or bottom employees. This CEO is just another puppet appeasing the major stockholders that's all. BBBY is going to be soaked for all it's worth; just like Tony Soprano's gang did to the sporting goods store, just worst.
