Thread regarding SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. layoffs

You are no better than the rest of us!

It’s difficult as an Ambassador at SeaWorld that has experienced the pile on after every layoff to watch the entitled Salaried and Corporate employees. We are kept in the dark, received a minimal raise, losing vacation time, and fear for our jobs daily. Definitely has become a depressing work environment and it shows on everyone’s faces.

The new SEA leaders are touring the parks, getting free meals and free tours, meanwhile the rest of us have to buy our own supplies for our jobs because our area/dept can't get approval to buy anything.

Even if you get unlimited vacation it doesn’t mean you will get to use any of it. It is up to your managers discretion. So some might be able to use it but I bet the majority won’t be able to use it as much.

I was once a salaried corporate employee this year and I left knowing that unlimited vacation was going to start next year. Everything I read on unlimited vacation actually made it worse to stay. Employees that have put in their time got their vacation changed to that of a newbie off the streets.

Can’t sell vacation time to offset higher health care costs now. Oh and no raises year after year.

The comments made were regarding salaried. There is salaried at the parks too, ya know ;) doing nothing for big checks? That’s a joke. If your salaried leadership isn’t pulling their weight, don’t assume that is a parkwide trend. The information is lacking everywhere, unless you are a decision maker. We all have the same questions.

Well while they do nothing for their big checks. Us hourly people seem to have some big concerns like the benifits roll out no package in the mail. No meeting absolutely no information whatsoever even the big paychecks don't do their job. Kinda shows Scott Ross complete control.

I don’t know what planet you guys are on but salaried feels the same. Stressed, overwhelmed, and anxious about what tomorrow may bring. Read between the lines when it comes to the “perks”.

Please understand that the corporate hourly employees are definitely not entitled and in the same boat as you.
They have to watch firsthand the very entitled salaried employees get their bonuses and unlimited vacation perks.
