Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Hyderabad India...GBS - - truly a bunch of Gross Bull $h!t

more offshoring of jobs...1500-3000, "over many years" Wow, way to be transparent. So someone explain to us...are jobs in India cheaper because wages are way lower? Does India require employers to pay benefits: healthcare, retirement, etc? These offshoring jobs seem another way to make more money for C-level, leave American workers high & dry (great stance for an American based/founded company [sarc]) and this does not seem ethical at all.

it won't fail... it's too profitable to fail... it will be a change to what we know for sure, but it'll pay off for investors long term. The risk is in the shorterm and the disruptions that will happen. It'll get lots worse than it is now

I don't know why anyone not handcuffed by their pension would stay with this company. The work-life balance is awful, the culture is awful, the company won't spend a dime on employees, and you can forget about ever having fun. You should also be prepared to miss your unachievable plan targets that ensure a low bonus payout while the company beats Wall Street expectations causing the Executive bonuses and stock options to soar.

The strategy by ik was to complete a complete hijacking of the corporation to her Indian brethren. This is reality. What we are seeing in mid cycle of the completion of her agenda. In 3 years there will be nothing left in north America. There is zero cost savings infact it is more.
Those abetting at the top will get golden parachutes and walk away.
I am out of here. Good luck to my comrades who are left behind.
I know my post will disappear very quickly.

Looks like finance will be on India too. This company has really stooped to a new low.

It's guaranteed to fail. Our clueless leaders have no idea how much their loyal workers bend over backwards to meet their needs working 60+ hours week after week. I can't wait to see what happens when they don't get what they want, how they want it and when they want it because our new GBS co-workers are unable or unwilling to do it. There's a reason the saying "You get what you pay for" exists.
