20 bed bath “concept” store closures?
Of the 60 closed per the earnings call, 20 were concept stores. Does that suggest their newly outfitted stores (2.0) are wastes of cash? Like did they spend millions to remodel/renovate and sales didn’t jump at these new stores so thus they shuttered them?
Serious question as a long as, to me, it means that is a dead strategy and maybe not investable? Looking for reasonable replies...
exactly, what do the area managers do? as far as I can see... nothing... before I was let go, I used to watch him smoke every 10 minutes... now he vapes every 7 minutes. the department I was in (windows) was in the top 10% in sales in the company. then they changed the department to do that stupid 78" displays... I said that wouldn't work... then change it poorly so now the 84" drag on the floor. the custom made curtains took away about $75,000 a month in sales easily. when kirsch came in we lost $30,000 a week per tower of curtains to lose the space. People will buy if you have the product to sell. I still can't believe I lost my job because I did a direct ship. now that is totally stupid in my opinion. made the sale, kept the customer satisfied. to think, fire the person who does his or her job, keep those who don't care about the business only there positions and there bonus'. trust me, they didn't lose that.
They mean stores that are not a BBB branded store. I.e CTS, Harmon, cost plus, chef central, bbbaby. They are now going to mass roll out the new 2.0 stores.
