They will retaliate by adding task to your daily routine,fail your ots scorecard, pretend they face your department when all other teams have empty displays or cases the biggest thing is they will make changes on the sales floor out of no where not in the sop,not ots just because you reported something and know you’re it.

You know what store you are if your team leadership doesn’t close once a week with a mid and a weekend day as mandated by dori and your astl in charge of schedules.

My stl and astl’s will give out personal team member information to stir chaos at our store.
We reported issues and now the most random thing get’s turned into a storm to clear house while they try to cover their mistakes and bad choices.

I wouldn't say 75% of what they say is a lie, it's just that 75% of their job is telling people what they don't want to hear and they have to think carefully about what they say and the words they use to avoid further escalations.

Even if recording isn't legal ,do it for peace of mind. Record every time you have a conversation with TMS or leadership... 75% of what comes out of their mouth is a lie.

lols. I once got accused of harassment because I asked a TM to do the temp logs twice in one shift. Turned into a huge ordeal with TMSS and store leadership. It wouldn't have even been an issue except she used thew magic word.

Recording someone without their consent is not legal in every state and I'm pretty sure it is against policy.

I do know a TL that refuses to communicate through email so he can never be held accountable for anything he says.

Seriously, even when a TM is half joking when the word harassment gets used they snap into lawsuit prevention mode. They will take care of the problem if they don't want bigger problems. When lawsuits are brought against the store it's normal for the STL's and maybe even the TMSS's to get sued as well. Much easier to just fix the problem fast.

What issue did you report & what was done to you that makes you think it's retaliation? The GIG book forbids retaliation and all you have to do is mention the word harassment to your tmss and you will be protected. I had a TL retaliate against me once when I got him in trouble for harassing another TM. Store leadership shut it down fast.
