The only way to succeed in lowes is to work for a store that has dedicated managers, or to kiss a$$.
They want you to actively seek out sales / customers in a store excessively under staffed. Hmmm. So every step I take, I hear excuse me, or some other cry from customers. We can't even do basic power equipment tasks in lumber because we can't gate off, and customers are constantly screaming for us.
Good model corporate has in place. Douchebags.
Been here 20 years. 1st or 2nd in sales $2.5 mill or more year in years out. What do I get for a raise? 3%. 2 years ago. Had a workplace accident was on worker comp for 4 months. My Dr was a awesome dude he said I will release you when you tell me to your the one healing. So I got 3 extra months off due to it. Came back did $1.6mill in sales. What did I get for a raise? 3% So the high praise you would give me for my sales EVERY F-ING YEAR WAS TOTAL BS. So I switched positions. Selling maybe $800k a year. Guess what 3%. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Dumb F-ing S-bags. Put it on autopilot and just take care of the customer as they come in less stress and same pay and raises. F Marv & F Lowe's. Kick back and relax while watching the boat circles the drain. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA S—ers.,
I agree about getting the carts, walking the customers and meeting the cute new cashiers, but if I do that anywhere near lumber I get yelled at by 10 angry workmen. Gotta find that balance.
I keep finding new ways to relax at Lowe’s. Bringing the carts is a good way to k–l some time as is walking customers to the product. It’s a great way to shop while working. Keep a cart nearby and say you found it all in your aisles. Helping out with code 3’s is a great way to meet the cute new cashiers.
Goof off, s— up to your manager and promoted in no time. Work hard and your reward is more hard work.

Incorrect. No one will succeed at Lowe’s. Within the next few years, Lowe’s will be out of business. There is not enough room in the world for 2 Home Depot retailers. Lowe’s once had a chance, but the second that Marv modeled our business plan after Depot, it was the final nail in the coffin. Lowe’s is no longer relevant. Lowe’s is circuit city and Depot is Best Buy!
So if I slack off I get a raise , if I exceed expectations I get same raise as the Buffon that still wonders how to log into Genesis after six months ... so I should excel while they stand by and watch , I do all the work while they dream of finger painting...I wonder if there will be enough time to get a task done , they wonder how they will survive till their next 15 because standing there doing nothing is so boring ... and to back track ... we all get the same raise anyway ... and I think I’m gonna start dreaming of finger painting

So take a hint and adopt their work ethic. It works quite well actually. Your archaic work habits and expectations of productivity are far outdated. Step into the 21st century and relax.
