I've noticed that there is a fair amount of buying. Millions of shares at a time, especially in the morning. Its possible that something will happen but i'm not holding my breath.
There is no way any company or investor would buy CHK because of the mountain of debt that not even the current management can seem to do anything about. Anyone interested in CHK will wait till it goes bankrupt first.
Any chance they will try to take us private also?
Roan was acquired today at an unimpressive $1.52 per share after stock price falling 90% over the last year.
That just sounds like a lot of assumptions.
There will be you’ll see. Carlyle shorted the stock so their alter ego NGP could get as many shares as possible from the convertible debt previously held by Mr. Icahn. Very clever to avoid having to spill the beans in an SEC filing that would have been filed on ‘the 24th. Call IR guy and watch him squirm when asked about where is the SEC filing. He will say they’ve been wondering the same thing. Sure they have!
The shares have been in the sh–ter. If they we're building one there would be positive price action.
