Board Meeting today - big shakeups

There are a few VPs that got some bad news this week. Did you have any Exec level meetings that got cancelled without a reason this week? If you did, it could be because that Executive was told that they no longer have a job, or no longer have the same job.

Multiple execs (including VPs) were told earlier this week they are out. Expect departments notes with cryptic details on Friday.

so how many vp's got cut? zero? 1? 2? just wondering if we had any new conductors because we all know a vp at up can only be a vp at up.

Two people below voted no we don’t need to cut anymore VP’s. Now was that individuals from upper management or another “machinist”?

I wouldn't get too excited. UP tends to chase downward when they promote people, and there is a real possibility that whomever is taking their places and/or roles will be less competent, less qualified, and less experienced.

The sensible thing to do would be to eliminate all redundant management positions and then consolidate the remaining managerial functions into a smaller number of roles.

They could cut 75% of the vp’s and still be too top heavy.

Maybe it has more to do with 40 years of service.
