In the past 4 months we have had 13 furloughed in Charleston, SC. In the last 3 years we have lost 11 EN/CO jobs 1 yard job and 2 switchmen jobs. They keep telling us that Charleston is going to be booming but they keep cutting and slashing like a cheap horror film. And more furloughs are to come most likely in the next few days. Because we are about to loose one more EN/CO job. NS keeps running off the business before they get it. Not to mention all the paperwork fudging they are doing on trains not making it and recrews that dont pop up as recrews. And adding freight to internal trains and a BMW train that is paid by BMW to run as a standalone train. Something needs to give for the better, but I know its only going to get worse.

Yeah there are carmen still here. Since we are a starting terminal. For now. Columbia, SC just got rid of their loco mechanics.
Any Carman left there?
Hold on this will all backfire on them. Once the public hears about how they bully their employees and can careless about the danger they are putting communities in. They will have no choice to change
