UP cannot break contracts on their own. Both sides have to agree, or the courts must intervene. The ONLY contract that can be broken in the US, where the other side had no say so, is marriage.

It is naive to think a contract clause will save anything. Those sorts of things are broken by companies all the time. Especially those with pockets as deep as UP. By the time the litigation even begins the current crop of leadership will be gone with their pockets stuffed with cash.

Jenks is not selling or closing more rumors. Jenks is under a contract clause for 50 years and has 10 to 15 years left on that contract.

KC lost 4 FG’s replaced by managers. One supv that was a PF got put on the street as the pipe fitters all got cut earlier this year.

Word is that Jenks is closing and Progress Rail will be announced as new owners in November. We have heard this before but hearing more chatter this time.
