"Amazon has officially started hiring for its new grocery store.
On Monday, the retailer posted four new positions for a store in Woodlands Hills, California, which is slated to open in 2020.
An Amazon spokesperson told Business Insider that the new store will be different from Whole Foods, which is known for its selection of natural and organic food and is also owned by Amazon."

Store leadership is so corrupt they overlook staff that have been here for years under poor team leadership since they are more concerned with loyalty rather performance their stores are falling apart!
Agreed about the supposed “layoffs” comment.
Please don’t post remarks like this unless you can state it as a fact, and what region you are coming from.
Some of us need our jobs and, as you know, they are stressful enough without added stress of rumors.
What region and what layoffs were talked about? It’s not nice to joke about people losing their jobs just because you don’t like wfm. People shouldn’t be speculating/joking about stuff like that and have evidence.
Our stl told us changes are coming and there is a next round off layoffs to come in the next year maybe right after Thanksgiving this year.
Employees in a corporation all help to produce the wealth that the board of directors distributes. It is a small minority that makes all of the the decisions that is what to produce where to produce how to produce and what to do with the profits. A union does not produce anything in terms of commodities its sole purpose is to negotiate for better work conditions for its employees. labor unions do not extract surplus labor like a capitalist.
Organize? As in Union?
You do understand that labor unions are now just another capitalist business, right?
We all live in a capitalist economy where layoffs sending jobs to china and low pay are all part of the system. We have kings at the top making all of the decisions without there being any showing of a democracy among the Team Members. Either try and organize to prevent the small minority from making all of the major decisions or except the wheels of capitalism to grind along.

I'm guessing you are J.M. from your response.. Those without Asperger's can appreciate threads that are not directly related to a literal layoff. Maybe the reason the OP posted this is because it is unprecedented, suspicious, and could have repercussions that affect WFM employees. It is strange that our store leaders have not communicated anything about it.
Massive layoffs. Amazon is going to k–l off the Whole Foods Brand. Why do you think we have all the merchandisers in store now? Reduce payroll, keep reducing prices, bring in third party cheap labor is all part of the plan to get rid of Whole Foods Market.
There is already a WF store in Woodland Hills.
They are probably just adding home delivery to the current location
