Any other associates being told by their supervisors to disregard Kronos?

If you mean that you simply ignore the schedule and rewrite it in the system, then yes, we do that all the time. This stupid customer centric scheduling is a joke and the company knows this. We freely rewrite the schedule every week so that it makes some kind of sense and so that we have coverage in all the departments. What good does it do to follow what the computer spits out if it leaves you with huge holes in coverage during the day, leaving the customers furious and hurting your sales?

Do what everyone else does. Ignore what is generated by the computer and use your own brains. They may be the only thing working right in this company.

Totally agree just come in and work with your schedule it says eight come in at eight. What is coverage anyway don't have no staff I come in I'll work my schedule and I'll leave don't matter how many customers are in the department it's not my money anyways

Call your regional HR manager and say you don’t want to get in trouble for disregarding Kronos. Document the date and time, if it’s legal where you are record the conversation.

all it tells me is that kronos cant spit out a good schedule, store management knows and realizes its going to severely impact the running of the store. knows corporate wont listen. so theyre trying to make the best of it but creating an internal schedule as a work around. they will get fried for this once its found out. and does put the hourly associate in a really bad position. shame that stores are put in this position to begin with.

Disregard Kronos? Ok I'll be two hours late every time you schedule me at 8am. I'll have red boxes but it's ok, disregard Kronos.

Region 27 store here. Told by supervisor we will get paper schedule to follow instead of Kronos.

I agree with the first reply; make them suffer. No coverage in the departments? Supervisors and managers can cover. Come in early because there were three calls on the front end? Sorry, I don’t even answer the phone if the store calls me.

Marvin created the mess, let him fix it.

They shouldn’t tell you that unless the supervisor has an Asm back it up. Yes the new system leaves gaps. But with the attendance policy of early or late in, five times a month. I would not risk a write up because the system is bad.
