Bed Bath & Beyond Employees, you need to approach the new CEO, Mark Tritton, with your problems! The Associate Handbook (The Law of the Company) states:
“We encourage you to take advantage of our OPEN DOOR POLICY by letting your Manager, or any other Manager, talk through any questions or concerns that you may have. If the situation cannot be resolved at this level, or if the circumstances are such that speaking to your direct supervisor is not appropriate, you should feel free to speak to another Manager, a Human Resources Representative, or even to a Vice President or to the CEO of our Company, if necessary.”
The company gives you, the employee, the right to voice your problems and concerns directly to the CEO, Mark Tritton. He is getting paid big bucks to fix a broken company, which includes you, the employees, the backbone of the company, who have been abused the most by the brokenness of the company, but unlike him, you weren’t offered consideration or appreciation for your service to the company. In all the articles being written about Bed Bath & Beyond the last few years, are any of them praising you, the employees, the backbone of the company? You must confront the truth of the situation or the situation won’t change. Trust is earned. Make Mark Tritton and Bed Bath & Beyond earn your trust. As the backbone, it is not a privilege to work for Bed Bath & Beyond, as they would have you believe; it is a privilege for Bed Bath & Beyond to have you, as their backbone and employee. Exercise your right through the OPEN DOOR POLICY and voice your problems and concerns directly to Mark Tritton. If CEO Mark Tritton does not immediately act appropriately on your problems and concerns, then Bed Bath & Beyond’s Associate Handbook is nothing more than lies and bombastic rhetoric.
