Thread regarding Golden State Foods layoffs

It was the best and easiest contract I had. Many contractors there for many years in IT getting big $ while full times walking around doing “advising” and “solutioning”. Some of them had 2 jobs or side companies or some side dealings. It was good for us contracts as always there was work but we kept joking about these guys. One guy drinking tea all day, all day! Another guy sleeping at desk or toilet the other guy not even technical don’t belong in tech. Few full times were good but they always had low value busy work. And then new leader came in and brought her own young team. Much faster pace like my previous contracts, no more padding loe. She cut many of those perms and cant cut us because we did most of the real work. Big culture shock between new and old team. Then eventually most contractors let go and added all these new tools that no one except new teams Don’t go there now if you want slow easy and easy. Go there if you like to work or if you are young or if you want to learn.
