Reality is

Doug did his best to keep people employed thinking the combination of prices and oil drilling would pull this thing off. Times are different now for the industry. He has been very loyal to employees and should be thanked. Things have a way of working out for everyone.

Exactly! Here’s an idea. Maybe he shouldn’t have spent $2 billion on WildHorse. So instead of having the money in your pocket or using it to pay down debt, you increase your debt load by 25%.

He also refuses to cut his compensation. The G&A they are saving with today's layoffs basically cover his compensation.
